Author Kassy Cho wrote an article of a video published last week showing a cotton candy eating contest and the girl contestant CRUSHING IT. Literally. The video clip comes from a Chinese talk show where the hosts were in a contest to finish the cotton candy the fastest. The girl who inhaled the cotton candy is An Qi, a 25 year old TV anchor who lives in Zhejiang, CHina. The viral video has over 3 million views from both the eastern and western world.
Kassy Cho is the voice of the article, she is the author writing to the people who have not yet seen the video, specifically those living in the US. Cho's article is mainly demonstrated using a series of video slips and screenshots of tweets and posts from a Chinese social media, Weibo. Her tone is biased, use of words and phrases like "completely crushing her male opponent" and "incredible" Cho herself is obsessed with this cotton candy eating woman as she demonstrates over and over again the awe that people get from watching the video.
